Since my ankle sprain in February I’ve shied away from any hard slabs, with minimal hand holds and mostly foot movement. It used to be strength of mine and I’m finally making steps to getting back there. Felt like a milestone after my grade 3 ankle sprain to finally get some confidence back!

I just totally rekt my ankle (no tear but did score a fracture), and was just getting into climbing again. What has your recovery been like? Any protips? (Probably somewhat different with fracture, but still.)

Lots of rehab, ankle inversion/eversion/plantarflexion/dorsiflexion. Taping at first, gradually reduce. Soft tissue work on the calf. Take dynamic moves slow, easy to reinjure. Keep up the rehab even if it starts to feel okay
