How often do you find yourself writing a fresh contract, for whatever purpose whatsoever (sandboxing, side project, work, etc.)?

I go back and forth (between prototyping random ideas and actually fleshing one out), but during prototyping phase I'll sometimes write a contract just to see if I can model an idea properly on-chain. Hard to tell ahead of time.

A doodler and computerer. I like permissive/permissionless open source, smart contracts, p2p systems, room-scale VR, and NixOS.

Either a one-off .sol or even pseudocode in my notes. Realistically I'd just write a quick forge test with the contract in the same file.

Do you just use a random forge repo for that?
