Imagine a world where most content is made within small groups rather than individuals, and published outwards collectively or cross-pollinated with other groups. Reputation is attributed to the group as a whole, so social norms are self-enforced within each group.

This could be an interesting approach. It reminds me of Elinor Ostrom: Governing the Commons.

Elinor Ostrom got a novel prize because of her work revealing how people govern the commons in different places of the world using common rules enforced by the group that benefit everyone while punishing free riders. I read the book a long time ago and I want to reread it as I think it fits well with the web3 ethos and how we can ensure DAOs are similar to what the book shares. A copy and paste from Wikipedia: Ostrom studied the interaction of people and ecosystems for many years and showed that the use of exhaustible resources by groups of people (communities, cooperatives, trusts, trade unions) can be rational and prevent depletion of the resource without either state intervention or markets with private property.[9] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elinor_Ostrom
