Very cool ethresearch proposal: Faster block/blob propagation in Ethereum "We propose a change on the way we broadcast and transfer blocks and blobs in the P2P network, by using random linear network coding. We show that we can theoretically distribute the block consuming 5% of the bandwidth and with 57% of the number of network hops (thus half the latency per message) of the time it takes on the current gossipsub implementation." https://ethresear.ch/t/faster-block-blob-propagation-in-ethereum/21370

Uhh I didn't understand fully but random linear on gossipsub sounds a bit like Avalanche's snowball implementation! They also had achieved lower latency where all other parameters remained the same.
