I’ve now been in self driving taxis with no one in the driver seat and an FSD Tesla on the freeway that merged autonomously. But the self-driving affordance, possibly the most magical contemporary piece of tech, already feels too normal.

I’d say this is remarkable but I’ve been sitting in flying buses for a few decades now and I mostly don’t *actually* notice. Drives home the central argument of the @vgr classic ribbonfarm.com/2012/05/09/wel… that normalcy is constantly manufactured.
