you had a DB prof? after sophomore year i was pissed in 2yrs i hadn't learned anything useful, despite testing-out of everything i could, so i asked my advisor "when do you teach us to use databases" (which id self-taught years prior); she said "never, that's a graduate course" so i disenrolled literally on the spot
