It’s open to everyone. Algo is based on engagement.

Talking of engagement, I’d love to chip in something. I feel like the Farcaster algorithm could use some improvement, particularly in ensuring fairness. Now I’m not saying it’s completely flawed, but one major issue I’ve noticed is the Trending Casts section. Some casts that appear there don’t seem trending-worthy, while others, from highly consistent and talented creators like @depressivehacks @shamanistic.eth and some other creators who I feel like they’ve been making banger casts (in my own opinion) never seem to make it to that section. This raises the question: How does the algorithm determine which casts are “worthy” of trending and which ones aren’t? And if it’s strictly by engagements how does it pick it up ?

I have had a grand total of 3 (three) trending casts so far, and my (unverified) theory is that it has something to do with the amount of people, and the gravitas of the casters who interact with it..

So, according to your (unverified) theory, if I have 6–7 top-tier individuals consistently interacting with my cast (let’s say I manage to win them over, and they actively engage with me) would that be enough to make anything I post (and they interact with) trend-worthy just because these people interact with it? I’m genuinely curious.
