claude projects has been a life improvement for me my most recent use case: - download pdf of book that i’m reading & convert to text - paste book as part of the project knowledge (claude has 200k context) - go back and forth asking questions / summaries works remarkably well

I am a loyal ChatGPT user. How do you think Claude's capabilities compare to GPT's, and is it worth trying?

ChatGPT can go online, Claude not. For everything else, Claude 3.1 Sonnet better. Especially Artifacts feature, you prompt (relatively challenging task) and it decides what is best representation of answer, text, table, chart, code, etc. and then creates it. Kind of shows how in future we don’t need MS Office and Google equivalents. Also, Projects works better than Custom GPTs for internal use, but you cannot share with outside world (yet). PS talking in both instances about paid versions, and though $40/50 per month sounds a lot, freelance knowledge workers generate return on day 1

Have been using both OpenAI and Claude recently, cancelled my OpenAI teams subscription as a result. Found Claude’s attention to detail a lot better, but you often have to start new conversations otherwise it gets hyper focused on some detail mentioned prior whereas ChatGPT just kinda forgets shit.
