What is Blockchain? In the previous article, we mentioned that Web 3.0 is a decentralized network system based on blockchain technology. So, what exactly is blockchain? In simple terms, blockchain can be viewed as a ledger that stores transaction information. Each "block" is like a page of the ledger, and the beginning of each page contains important information from the previous page. The blockchain ledger is not controlled by any central entity (like a government or corporation), but is maintained by everyone in the blockchain network, with each person having an identical copy of the ledger. If someone wants to alter one page, they would need to change every subsequent page and synchronize the changes with everyone else’s copy of the ledger. The essence of blockchain is to increase the difficulty of tampering through technology, ensuring the trustworthiness of data, making it an immutable super-database.
