🇪🇪Victory Day celebrations banned in Estonia 

Local authorities announced the introduction of restrictive measures for public events on May 9.
According to a statement from the Police and Border Guard Department, the ban will be in effect from May 8-10 in Harju County, Laena-Virumaa and Ida-Virumaa, regions with a predominantly Russian–speaking population.

The official statement of the ministry emphasizes that any public gatherings using symbols associated with Russia are prohibited.
Special attention is paid to preventing the display of paraphernalia associated with Victory Day.

Violators face serious sanctions:
The organizers of prohibited events are fined or imprisoned for up to 1 year.

Participants using prohibited symbols are fined up to 2,400 euros or placed under administrative arrest.
