This feels like the sort of thing that pairwise-bounding algorithms would actually do a good job of limiting!

Curation often faces corruption.

Google's algorithms aim to counter unethical practices by penalizing manipulators, but as long as manipulation costs remain low, issues persist. 

A solution could involve curators staking their reputation, losing curator status if caught manipulating. 

Any other thoughts on this?
