Use an ENS username if you want decentralized and user-controlled. I use ENS personally.

A reminder that fnames have a usage policy against squatting and impersonation. This has existed for since the beginning.

I’m no impersonator, I simply like the project and own pengus and swag. I would have thought that going the web3 way via @farquest was a better path for PP
