Danny Ryan—what a man.
I first met him in Vail, Colorado, back in 2021 while we were preparing for the DELV Series A announcement and strategizing for v2 of the protocol.
Those few days at the offsite, we had some great people drop by the house.
But when Danny was coming, you could feel it—a buzz in the air, like something electric was about to happen.
Back then, I had no idea who he was.
Danny is a rare breed—a mix of mountain man, street-smart hustler, down-to-earth, yet incredibly sophisticated and sharp.
He pulled out his phone and showed us a diagram—simple, clear, even I could understand it—breaking down how the Merge would work.
He explained how PoW would stop functioning and the intricate coordination he was leading to make it all happen.
One of a kind—brilliant thinker, sharp executor, and charismatic leader whose will is infectious.
