A teenage girl wearing a yellow scarf sat next to me and said that these boats are called “Shenavar” (floating vessels), and the locals call them “Tomro.” I think it comes from the word “Tondro” (fast-moving). Then, I got lost among several names, but “Tomro” seemed to fit it the most.

Today, on our journey, we had to take a Tomro from the Bandar Abbas dock to Hormuz Island. The first Tomro filled up quickly, and two of us from the team were left behind, so we took the next one. This gave me the chance to sketch it in the meantime. 🤭
