Former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes has predicted that the price of Bitcoin of Bitcoin could collapse to the $70,000 level.  The entrepreneur believes that the possible crash will be caused by a "mini financial crisis" in the U.S.  With that being said, the BitMEX boss is convinced that the leading cryptocurrency could eventually surge to the $250,000 level by the end of the year.

This coincided with major chip stocks experiencing a severe rout in pre-market trading. E-mini Nasdaq-100 Futures are down 2.62%, according to the latest data.
