Software as content As AI gets better, the specialized knowledge and effort to create software will significantly decrease. This means the number of people (and AIs) creating software will significantly increase. In the same way new computing paradigms with new capabilities popularized new atomic units of content, AI will make software a new atomic unit. And with each new atomic unit, there’s been a new social network. That’s an opportunity for Farcaster.

Software as content is an inevitable shift. As AI lowers the barrier to software creation the supply of software will explode just like text images and video did before it. This means software will become more like social media content easy to create remix and distribute. The key insight is that every new atomic unit of content has birthed new networks. Social media thrived on text images and video. But where’s the network for software? Farcaster has an opportunity to be that network. A place where software is shared, discovered and remixed in a social, composable way.
