seems like there is lack of consensus about what "consumer crypto" actually is

in the base community, it seems to be aligned with "consumer goods" 

otherwise, it seems to be closer to socialfi, gamblefi, or gamefi. or more broadly, anything that engages consumers in a way whose core purpose is not trading

the definition is loose in my mind as well - personally think of consumer as  any non-DeFi product that is broadly applicable to everyday users/retail. 

I think is a reflection of how early the space is (outside of DeFi/payments) - distinct verticals will be more clearly defined once use cases mature and diverge
