recent news about EU banning self-custody wallets & telegram.

is this a temporary outlier, or will more regions follow?

i tend to think it's an outlier, tho I can't decide if i'm being overly optimistic

It's really about alignment with TradFi regulations and it's no regulation of transfer between self-custody wallets (obviously as that couldn't be enforced anyway). As it's really AML/KYC stuff, I can very much see other regions/countries following this.
