Anyone can create an art chain by minting a genesis piece. From that point one anyone can create a derivative of that genesis piece, and then anyone can create a derivative of that derivative... you see where I'm going ๐Ÿ‘€ Parent <> Child Provenance is fully set onchain

Any piece can be minted for 0.001 ETH 97.5% of the proceeds go to the creator 2.5% of the proceeds go towards the protocol, still TBD what that means Every piece has an open minting window of 24 hours

An art chain in which every single one of its pieces has run out of time is effectively "dead" - no more pieces can ever be created out of that chain - which can either be good or bad depending on how you see it. An art chain with a lot of derivatives / children will be more likely to survive long term

The idea is heavily inspired by @opepenedition and its remix culture. I've also been fascinated by the idea of putting full provenance onchain, which includes the inspiration of a piece Also, the concept of "collection" within art chains is very loosely defined, I can imagine there'd be multiple "canons" as to what subcollections can exist withing a chain.

oh I forgot to mention - creating pieces wether being a child piece, or genesis is free minting is 0.001, all the proceeds go to the creator - so not much downside from creating something - especially this early
