Why does everyone choose to conveniently ignore that Ross Ulbricht paid to hire hits on several people?

I remember quotes of the entrapment messages, the FBI agents were pushing real hard to order hits after he wasn't interested. Also something about him not being allowed to use server logs to prove that he didn't actually order those hits, multiple people had access to his account, etc? Plus the agents involved later went to prison for corruption in that case.

I don't think he deserved even 11 years, let alone multiple life sentences and no chance of parole. The judge said he was being made an example of, which is itself an atrocity.

Despite all that, he has been a model inmate by all accounts and did everything to show rehabilitation and remorse.
