And when you say upside down calligraphy you mean you write it upside down??

As an overhanded lefty who smudges ink across paper 90% of the time if it doesn’t dry fast enough this is a complete mind blower. wooooow

YUP I write with the page itself oriented upside down. I start from bottom right and move to top left. Because I'm an overhanded lefty this has become a requirement of learning Calligraphy!
