Modern uses for coins:

1) water fountains (discouraged)
2) arcade games (deprecating)
3) slot machines

i’d like to note i enjoy arcade games tremendously and would prefer they not deprecate

Oh I should clarify the arcade games aren't deprecating, but coins as a way to play them is!

More and more I'm seeing retrofitted cabinets taking charge cards instead of quarters. Probably easier to bill higher amounts that way 🤑
