I think the problems created by crypto are far outpacing the solutions it's supposed to offer. Regulation can help deter bad actors but paradoxically it seems contrarian to the ethos of decentralized finance. Maybe crypto will be a solution when we collectively lose faith in banks and governments?

I think we’ll see more benefit when people begin to seriously earn livings in the creator economy via crypto rails, especially in unbanked corners of the world. Then people won’t use it directly as an investment vehicle, but as an income vehicle with the opportunity for investment

it sounds cliché at this point but i'm increasingly convinced that we've created a solution without first checking to see a) what problem it would solve, and, b) if the problem space is large enough (yet) to warrant the vast amount of capital (human, technological, financial) that has been deployed into building this solution.
