@brennen.eth not sure if this has been discussed yet but I think adding an option for not recording would be worth considering.

1) users can/will delete anyway

2) being upfront in the UI that it won’t be recorded (by not having the recording indicator) could encourage users who otherwise wouldn’t speak

There’s definitely a trade off between having recordings and not.

I understand the default option of recordings on for better content to bring in people after the fact, but some conversations are best had off the record.

Agreed! Giving the option is best, even if the default is to record so people don’t forget. 

Make the lack of recording a conscious decision, or even perhaps have an option to turn it off part way through.
