The U.S. House of Representatives has announced that it will vote on Republican cryptocurrency protections called the Financial Technology and Innovation for the 21st Century Act. A handful of Democrats have supported the plan. While the White House opposes the bill, it said in a statement that it is eager to work with Congress on legislation to promote "government development of digital assets and payments" in the United States.
