Ran my first race in about a year today for the a village track meet in Okinawa. 

1500m. Clocked in at 5:04.5.

Not a time to write home about, but very light competition so it was a race against myself.

Best thing was making some new friends with the local athletes.

Yeah, I seem to be holding up ok so I think it'll be worth it. 

Because I won, they also said I might get invited to future events, which is great.

It's been hard meeting locals, so really happy to be able to participate.
