Been watching Base meme culture. It's definitely nascent. But starting to see meme coins like #BasedStreetBets crossing with Far aster and Frames takes a page out of the book of $DEGEN. Something special cookin here.

If Farcaster hub operators run them at a loss because there's no emissions, is the hub operator argument one of a business-enabling loss leader? Is it a Solana validator type argument?

Does the farcaster hub system have any economic incentives to be run, or run correctly? What are the data availability guarantees?

If you squint, a 4337 wallet isn't much different than a CEX. No dapp integration, centralized point of failure, trust assumptions, and someone else paying your gas (but maybe charging you something else).

If EOAs don't have to pay gas, it solves a lot of the problems of doing one-off signature schemes. Still, something like EIP 3074 I feel like is the right direction. Onboarding friction aside, having solid use cases that folks are willing to overcome friction for, and scalability, are far more important t IMO.

Definitely not questioning protocol priorities. ERC 4337 is explicitly outside the protocol. The 4337 mission seems to be onboarding. 4337 may enable easier use, but it's the strong use cases themselves that will bring in users, who will overcome friction relative to the use case value.

Why? Imagine if we had put the effort into enshrinement instead of all this temporary, centralizing infra? We could be done.

Im still not convinced the step back is worth the trade off. Everyone agrees it's temporary until enshrined AA so it seems like a lot of throwaway work.

Paymasters for EOAs I feel like would give us 80% of the power. All of the bullet points on the slides could be describing a 4337 relayer. What am I missing?

Yeah it had some eth and USDC in it. Since it's a smart contract wallet, the EOA I signed with had nothing but a soulbound Locksmith key. So it couldn't steal that. Funds are safe "elsewhere"
