Wouldn't get tooooo excited. I'm still not sure about this place. Not going to leave, just... uncertain about how much time i'm willing to spend on dan's protocol.

If you're comfortable sharing, is this due to the political delta between you and Dan? I would totally understand that, I'm much much closer to your politics than Dan's.

Kinda sorta not really. the politics inspired me to do a character study on Dan for the first time. basic research that I largely skipped. the fruits of which are me hedging time spent because I'm less confident in his worldview and so his leadership over the very long term. and long term is /why/ farcaster, for me at least.

I get that. I haven't done a character study, but his politics seem odd at best. At risk of sounding like I've drunk the kool-aid, what mitigates that concern for me is the decentralization. If Dan were to become a Musk-style powermonger with terrible politics, the decentralization would limit his power - assuming we reach the "sufficient" threshold before that time.
