I had a sudden wave of optimism and hope I can't quite explain.

Everyone left of center I know in real life seems animated. Group chats I'm in with a mixture of political backgrounds are seeing progressive memes being shared, and the more conservative members haven't shared anything political in months. Some people who I formally would have classified as mildly conservative are sharing left wing takes. And then of course, there's the Bernie / AOC rallies which are incredible.

I know things might seem bleak in many ways right now. But my optimism is being reinvigorated in other ways.
