Ok two things sir: 
1. Would this be a fair assessment: “The cast is the txn in limbo, the comment is the request on the txn and the like is the auth/sig”?
Second: I assume it’s on base because their testnet is more stable than the DL3 testnet atm? No shade, I’d just hoped this was on DL3…

Oh cool! Thanks explaining!! I was referring to another possible way of thinking of rain. Or another way maybe: writing the cast with the code for rain being likened to putting out a bounty: anybody can submit a claim or comment in this case, but OP liking it, acts as ‘authentication’ for the transaction.

Similar to how comments can be deleted. What if OP ‘unlikes’ your comment before end of the month?

I'm not sure about the first part, but we used Base because it was quicker to write the Dune query. Eventually, we'll make it more robust and move to the Degen chain.
