More than three years ago, I joined Edge & Node to work full-time on @graphprotocol because I was impressed by the way that subgraphs have changed the industry. It became the de-facto standard for onchain data indexing and querying.

And most importantly, they were on the way to become decentralised, not just another extractive vendor-lock-in play. An open source stack, that gives its users full freedom to run, either locally for development or as an Indexer on The Graph Network. Since then, I worked every day to help make this plan a reality.
