is that the economic issues are so salient in their clarity in the Word that it seems far too potent a weapon for the left to leave on the shelf. And that applies to all the world’s great faiths

:) I think trying to save the world and our fellow man, even on purely secular humanist grounds, is an act of deep faith and divine love. But everyone must choose their own path, and the scientific method and secular liberalism are a perfectly fine “religion”
