I joined Farcaster when it @dwr.eth was personally rolling out invites. At the time, I was hacking on small indie onchain projects with friends- chasing clout and grant monies. A friend convinced me that decentralized social was where clout was truly at, he had been having conversations with @vitalik.eth, @balajis.eth and the like. @ishika, a close friend, was a long term FC fan anyway! I joined. Casted for a few days. Discourse was mostly technical and I didn't know anyone. There was no engagement. I got bored and left. Got back last December, when I shutdown the payments company I was running and finally had the time and energy to explore other things. Farcaster felt like a small cozy place on the internet where people just understood crypto.

Memes, frames, tipping, and the whole wave came later. But before, it felt cozy. They launched group chats and I remember @cassie hosting the first Hunger games. @syed or @links probably voted me out. @samuellhuber.eth and I used to jam and when Frames launched, he mentored /fbi's first hackathon. @jessepollak who I would make memes on sent Pizza for the hackathon. Later I did a base meetup in Bangalore because there was no presence in India. I remember chatting with @jacek when Degen had just launched and we discussed how Bonk became Solana's memeplay by just supporting builders. @wake.eth @purp @proxystudio.eth and I became friends in DegenDAO. What later led to us building @proxyswap. @six @lght.eth @kugusha.eth @martin @jihad and the Higher collective became friends. We later shipped products together.

There's so much that's happened since and so much more that'll come. I touched 10k followers today. But the numbers aren't as material as what they represent- strong relationships on this cozy corner of the internet. Farcaster is where I have found home, and I will forever be grateful.
