📰 Binance will pay a $2.2 million fine in India.

Binance has been fined $2.2 million for providing services to Indian clients without complying with national anti-money laundering regulations.

In 2024, Binance and several other offshore cryptocurrency exchanges were banned in India for illegal activities.

However, in May, Binance and KuCoin received approval from India’s Financial Intelligence Unit on the condition that they pay the required fines.
