📰 Helium Mobile has launched a licensing program for its hotspot devices, allowing individuals and businesses to set up “mini cell towers” that provide cellular coverage and earn tokens. Helium Mobile is currently the only provider of these cellular devices. The licensing program aims to expand its network and generate fees from third-party-produced hotspots. Helium Mobile has 93,898 registrations, though active subscribers may be fewer. Nova Labs, the team behind Helium Mobile, previously developed an IoT network using a similar Web3 mechanism.
