we just shipped the fjord hardfork on @base which improved transaction compression by 20-30%!

this means that we use 20-30% less blobspace and every transaction is cheaper — big win for scalability.

Hey Jesse I'm super curious why all of the sudden CB wallet added a 1% fee to all transactions, I feel like this is going to hurt CB wallet for sure, and in turn hurt Base! 1% is quite a lot! I mean especially when you factor in CB wallet uses 1inch, which already has high fees, so now on a 100$ transaction you are lucky to get 94$ worth of crypto, and then scale that up... Ngl not looking good for CB wallet! I know CB wallet is not your product, but I was hoping you might shed some insight on this!
