total crypto market cap tells another story though, MC near 2021 highs. there is a lot of new money sloshing around in the system.

I feel like the "four year cycle" really only fits in posthoc analysis, but as with any good posthoc analysis, you feel like you could easily predict the next movement, even when you can't.

have to agree with this. especially with a lot of the memes/etc being stuff that is very "inside joke" i lean towards what you are saying, but these last couple weeks on base/farcaster have me feeling that we're about to get a major shift towards innovations/new paradigms that will bring in retail

"hot ball of money" is a good way to put it. Lots of predatory crypto natives trying to get as much money as possible from newcomers before they get wise or better protected.

Since the tech bubble markets have strayed further and further from fundamentals and veered towards memetics. Crypto just brings memetic trading with higher salience. Not all hope for fundamentals is lost. Once wall st bros look at Uniswap’s rev/evaluation they’ll be frothing at the mouth.

Agreed, I think the changing narrative from BTC and the massive institutional investment from WallStreet is a big catalyst for crypto overall not to mention an incoming halving, 2024 seems very different to say the least. ETH ETF's incoming as well..
