Farcaster is an economy, that we can measure by how much activity (both on and off-chain) it generates. To that effect I've been working on a Farcaster Economy Dashboard (dune.com/0xluc/farcon...) It's quite not ready, but I'm boosted today and I need feedback and suggestions!

Super interested to see how channel membership changes impact our world Optimizing for fewer/deeper interactions is a worthwhile experiment to run as a platform (boosting signal vs. noise) I'm curious how it will affect growth for smaller/rising accounts (πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ) As someone who aims for depth, nuance, and insight I definitely get frustrated that so many accounts that blast clickbait slop somehow seem to grow (not an attack on @farcaster specifically - it's a problem on all social media, especially bad on Twitter, and is much much better here) So hopefully this solves for high-signal, meaningful content while not sacrificing the possibility for growth

Major QoL improvement for folks using farcaster login or linking. The feature defers trust over user account access to the /forecaster identity system (in auto-linking the wallets it associates to a user)

Planning to write up something for my Twitter friends about: 1. Why I like /farcaster 2. How to get the most out of it if you want to try it Any suggestions for good resources or tips I should include? Things other people have shared to help onboard people?

Dear /farcaster Community, What is the best way that a new blockchain can get started on here? What are some must-have integrations, or ways to use Farcaster effectively? What would you like to see more of?

Reflections after 86 day streak in /farcaster ⭐️ Streaks is a simple, but powerful way of getting people to engage more with your product. My follower count has grown from 129 to 2756 , simply by engaging on this platform. TnX for all 🫢

I think it's pretty hard for most people to understand right now why FC's social graph is so powerful, so lemme try to graph-pill you: 1) Blockchain has some amazing tools to help move from our current top-down-authority world to a bottom-up-builder world 2) Unfortunately, those same tools can (and are) used to scam people 3) As a result of 2) most true believers can't onboard their personal networks in good faith because they'll get rugged 4) A social graph creates a layer of trust which can mitigate 3) As a small example, most DAOs fell apart last cycle because they were completely permissionless, and fell victim to non-value-aligned people coming in and extracting as much as they could. A trust graph could allow you to vet a new member based on your existing members. Now start to think about other places where you need trust: voting, hiring, travelling, etc. A trust graph can be really useful in these cases.

I used to feel very free on /farcaster because it was just internet friends. Now that I know so many of you in real life I have the same anxiety about posting as with the other apps

/farcaster edge over the bird app is its ability to organise chaos (large magnitudes of real time engagement). Channels segment real time engagements across a multitude of topics on a generalised social network. Giving the platform the strength of Reddit but the engagement and live-ness of Twitter.

Even if /farcaster comes to nothing (I don't think it will), its beyond any reasonable doubt that this network is a cozy corner for a group of people that find this part of the internet invaluable. They will continue to spend a large chunk of their time on this network.

Hey! You were just tipped some Ham because someone with Ham liked your cast. Your Ham will land in your /farcaster connected wallet on Ham chain shortly. Ham is backed 1 to 1 with $TN100x and can be converted, or re-tipped! By default, liking a cast when you have a balance of Ham will tip the recipient 1 Ham. You can change this amount, or disable this at

Three ideas for content on /farcaster that I would engage with: - Legal summaries: review recent crypto court cases and post short digestible summaries. - Ethereum research progress: what is going on over at Eth Magicians? What EIPs are hot? - Transaction spotter: post interesting onchain transactions with commentary

it is clear to me that /farcaster will be fine. most of the problems are a function of compounding and time.

seeing some /farcaster FUD in all the CT reaction to FriendTech always revealing to see a subset of users who cynically view every blockchain-related project as inherently financial speculative
