KPUPdate As mentioned the other day, KPUP has thus far been an unplanned improv performance inspired by the provenance of being the first user-launched token via the @rainbow launchpad. I believe I’ve intuited my way to something interesting. Being first is important, but that only takes you so far. Taking inspiration from @jack and his infamous ‘transparency time’ thread, this will become my version. So let’s get into where my head is at: Instinct has me leaning into narrative, characters, and world building. You’ll see it playing out on the @kpup_rainbow X timeline (and soon farcaster as well) with KPUP, frog, and the gdupi puppies causing all sorts of chaos!

I’m a self-described ‘relentless iterator,’ so I’ll try things, introduce new CC0 characters into the KPUP orbit, and feel my way to good recurring bits (aka meme templates). Some things will work, some will not. I will play with art styles, brand identity, tone—whatever, at whim. I’ll know something is right when I feel it. KPUP is a tokenized piece of degen culture that’s chaotic, fun, funny, and low-key. What’s that worth? I don’t know. To be honest, I don’t care. That said—the more people support the token, the more sustainable the business can be thanks to the generous creator fee split that Rainbow provides (50/50 share on lp fees). The mission remains: to support 🌈 and act as an ‘engagement army’ of sorts for the brand. There’s value in a niche degen culture brand that’s also an unofficial marketing channel for a major web3 brand. It’s up to you all to decide what that value is. TL;DR - Be rainbow aligned, or be left behind. Thank you for your attention. 🤘🏽
