observation: the people i knew who were here back in the heyday earlier this year of degen and frame mania etc etc left the platform NOT because the price of $degen went down (as is the commonly cited narrative nowadays), but, in fact, directly in response to the power badges being implemented. is it possible that the narrative about user decline being bc everyone was just here for the money/chash grab and then dioped out is AT LEAST only a half-truth, and serves to obsure the truth that would point to another culprit that still continues to exist in the form of the dev teams continued preoccupation with “spam filtering” and moderation as the number one priority? thoughts?

On one hand it’s cool they are trying new things and obv they want this to be a cool space on the other hand it feels like the effort is going into beatings until morale improves

yeah same feeling. i dont think these are bad ideas and concepts altogether, i think the timing and prioritization of it is way out of wack though, and that has difficult consequences.

Wish they’d give the people already here what they want, and then focus on bringing the influencers on Twitter over Or divide up the labor or something, idk Comms are shitty, they need to figure that out cause it’s not good, dan would be more well like if he wasn’t the bad news giver
