additionally, /urbit "star"-level identities (and higher), will find they have access to a new potential revenue stream: serving as a 'trusted oracle' to assess work completion and approve milestone payouts while taking a pre-negotiated service fee.

we are building `%fund` because we believe communities deserve to have tools that hew to 'local' standards, not the expectations of megacorp platform developers or payment processing agreements. by unbundling the role of "platform", where a company provides both the software...

...and the service (that's legacy 'software as a service' for you), into "software provider" and "service provider", %fund provides greater optionality to market participants about the terms under which they raise funds, assess work completion, and settle economic exchange.
