One of the most interesting stories about pizza is that in 1889,to commemorate the queen's visit to Naples,a local pizzeria made a pizza that resembled the colors of Italian flag:red tomatoes, white mozzarella, green basil. pizza was named after the queen as Margherita pizza and is still one of the most popular pizzas.
