Sometimes I imagine people as clothes in a Goodwill, carrying with them all their past experiences and marked from the people who loved or ‘had’ them before we did -before we found them, before they were new to us.

When I buy something secondhand, I often imagine the life it had before. And when I recycle my clothes, I can’t help but wonder where they’ll end up and who will have them next. I think we do this with the people we meet in life, too. All of these themes inspired this song!
