My chrome browser started crashing immediately all of a sudden. I traced some issues back to possibly the metamask plugin. Anyone else experiencing issues?

I started having problems with metamask on phone, ipad and pc some time ago.. I think metamask is the problem!!! And I have most of my things there!!

My issue was a straaaaange one... I ended up completely uninstalling Chrome and all user data and trying to sync it back, once the extensions loaded it would crash. Went one by one and MetaMask seemed to be the one it crashed on. But then I realized Discord and Slack were also crashing... Those are desktop apps, but I know they're both based on javascript technologies, which led me to possible issues. I ended up installing the latest MacOS, which seems to have cleared whatever misconfig was ultimately causing my issues. Thankfully I am back up and running now, but also it highlighted some dependencies I have on Chrome that I don't like...
