There are many ways that people try to pretend to be smarter than they actually are. 3 of them that I've noticed: - Using "complicated" language for something simple - Imitating specific smart people gestures/ways - Associating themselves with other "high status" people

the worst offense is being condescending to others for not knowing a topic but when probed, not being able to explain the topic
