Had to log out it the bird app again (and forget my password) after going on and seeing another horrific news article ruining my day. 

Is there a way to prevent that kind of thing in a community like this early on?

It’s true. LinkedIn does a good job of keeping out that kind of thing. Because it has a different purpose. I wonder if we can that here?

Ya trad social media is full of infohazards. Not in the grand sense of Dangerous Information, just daily outrages that sap your focus and sanity.

I put everything that resembles news in a list and decided I would check it if I ever missed it.

1) never checked it once
2) twitter feed got way more fun 

Outrage is a weapon and attention is the resource people are fighting for.
