I missed that, but ever since @mcdegen existed, relying solely on the monthly claim doesn’t make sense. We need to take into account all the child tokens that have not only created real activity on the Degen chain but also benefited many new users. I don’t have the numbers, but I’m sure they look good. That being said, I do agree that for quite some time now, the tipping dynamic in $DEGEN and even other tip coins has disappeared. But when it was there, those who generated the most engagement were labeled as social farmers. The tip distribution mechanics aren’t optimal either. For example, I personally have no incentive to lock more DEGEN than I currently do. With my score and my 15K DEGEN locked, I get an allowance of roughly 330 DEGEN. If I add 10K more DEGEN, that allowance only increases by 30 DEGEN. The incentive to lock isn’t well-designed. 1/2

2/2 There should be a system that considers more parameters, with boosters evolving daily based on the number of users you distribute to, the activity of the child tokens you purchase with your allowance, etc. There are plenty of possible solutions, but the challenge is finding the right one, which isn’t easy. That’s nothing critical for a project like $DEGEN. It just needs continuous experimentation until the right balance is found.
