LG Corporation, formerly known as Lucky-Goldstar, is a multinational corporation founded by Koo In-hwoi in 1947 in South Korea. Koo In-hwoi started the company as Lak-Hui Chemical Industrial Corp. The company has since become one of the leading companies in the field of electronics and telecommunications.

The roots of this company go back to 1958 and the establishment of Goldstar Company. LG Electronics is now a subsidiary of LG Corporation, and in practice, it is the electronic industry division of this Korean company
