Reexploring Warpcast the last 48 hours, here’s my first thoughts: ∙ “oh wow, app store? cool. Reminds me of telegram’s and also respect the team for shipping new features” ∙ “oh I can’t talk in channels anymore? Wait, I can, just not all” ∙ “what channels should I join?” I found myself looking at profiles of people whose taste I trust and seeing where they engage So far, big shout out to @ted who recommended a few channels and connected me to some people already. As a user, I find stickiness on social apps really comes down to 1. Content discovery 2. two-way communication early on Things I’m still wondering: ∙ best apps and frames? For example I learned about @askgina.eth from @ericjuta and @sidshekhar and @pentacle ‘s web3 resource. @greenfarmer showed me Slate. @linda showed me @bountycaster, @garrett with dune dashies for fc data A lot of what I found was through the help of people like Ted sharing, native discoverability could be an aha moment

re channel discovery @db please chime in here. re can't talking into channels cc @dwr.eth regarding users wanting to have a pleasant join experience from the cast composer https://www.supercast.xyz/c/0xe5980ef56f54ca3547b40155405f6fd8d50bd7a6 re best apps and frames I hope explore tab would be more dynamic like the appstore homepage is to highlight different apps and show usage stat based rankings. that way you could have all that in the middle of the bottom bar on mobile

Discovery will improve, finding its footing at the moment. Multiple channel tools are great for mods but adds to the confusion for followers (do I need paid membership, high enough rank, ranked by who, how request to join, etc) Searching for channels is less likely to happen. However, available data will provide ability for smart connections of follows and channels similar to how @ted helped guide the experience
