Update: experiment was a success, power badge is no more in Warpcast! Active users saw no impact and new users benefitted from this change. Warpcast will remove power badges from the UI permanently. If you are a developer who uses Power Badge, @neynar will continue supporting the Power Badge API for you.

similar to what openrank also does Seed a set of users see who they interact with, include these users and see who they interact with … repeat and you get a cluster. Call that power badge For details check last dev call recording

yeah we've been very public about how it works. 1. pick list of known good users 2. see who they follow and interact with, add to list 3. repeat step 2 until you exhaust supply of good users the details are in tweaking parameters around how to weight a follow vs a like vs a reply etc etc
